September 16: Respondus LockDown Browser demo and discussion

Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment in Canvas. It is available for Mac, Windows, Apple iPad and can be configured to work in a lab setting as well as personal computers. Students are unable to copy, print, access other applications, or visit other websites during an online exam.

Instructors can choose an option in Canvas Quizzes to require Respondus LockDown Browser and students will be prompted to launch the LockDown Browser when they attempt the quiz. Some options such as allowing a calculator to open are available.

Information Technology Services, the College of Business, and the College of Veterinary Medicine are partnering with Respondus to host a demo of Respondus Lock Down Browser followed by a panel discussion about how it is being used at K-State.

The event will be 1:30-3:00 p.m., Monday, September 16 in room BB3112, College of Business.

Agenda

  • 1:30–2:15 p.m. – Online demo of Respondus LockDown Browser with Respondus representative
  • 2:15-3:00 p.m. – Panel discussion/hands-on training

Registration is requested. If you have any questions about Respondus LockDown Browser or this event, contact Michael Raine (maraine@ksu.edu) or Gina Scott (scott@vet.ksu.edu).
