July 3 deadline to request software for computing labs and K-State InfoCommons

The deadline has been extended for faculty/staff to request software additions for the K-State InfoCommons (in Hale Library) and university computing labs in Dickens 1, Seaton 22, and the Union Copy Center. Thursday, July 3, is the deadline for software requests.

These computing facilities, which contain both Windows and Mac computers, are for use by all K-State students and faculty/staff. Current software in the labs is posted at k-state.edu/its/labs/software.html.

The Information Technology Assistance Center has been taking requests since April. Requested software must be free to use, or else the requesting department must provide the licensing. When a department provides the licensing, iTAC will help determine the number of licenses needed and will monitor compliance.

Contact Nick Brown (nbrown@k-state.edu, 785-532-3419) if you have questions or software you want to make available in these facilities for the campus community.
