Duo Mobile App redesign is coming this week

This week, Duo will release a redesigned version of the Duo Mobile app for iOS and Android. One change you will notice when you receive a push notification with the new app is that the green approve button is now on the bottom right of your mobile device; previously, it had been on the bottom left.

The rolling release is scheduled for the following timeframes:

  • iOS: October 11–18, 2021
  • Android: October 11–15, 2021

K-State password + Duo (second-layer security) = Access

If you have automatic app updates enabled on your device, you will automatically receive Duo Mobile’s new version. You can also update Duo Mobile manually. View the Introduction to the Redesigned Duo Mobile App video on K-State’s Duo web page to learn more about the new release.

The redesign of Duo Mobile focuses on three essential items:

  • Improving the authentication experience
  • Educating and supporting end-user enrollment
  • Expanding language and accessibility support

The core functionality of Duo Mobile is not changing. You will continue to be able to:

  • Receive a Duo Push
  • Use passcodes
  • Add, edit, reorder and remove accounts
  • Backup and restore accounts
  • Use dark mode

If you have any questions, contact the IT Help Desk by phone at 785-532-7722 or email helpdesk@ksu.edu. Unfortunately, at this time, Duo is only available to K-State faculty and staff.
