Agenda announced for CanvasCon online Oct. 15
For the health and safety of all attendees, Instructure has combined its annual InstructureCon event and regional CanvasCon events into one free online global conference. Come together with other Canvas users for professional development, idea-sharing, and skill-building at CanvasCon Online on Thursday, October 15.

New features now available in Canvas

Canvas updates and features
Every month, updates and new features are released by Canvas. To minimize the impact of changes on our students and instructors during this unusual semester, the new features released in April will not be turned on in Canvas. New features are currently under consideration for the summer semester.
Canvas summer and fall 2020 courses have been created
The Automatic Course Creation for summer and fall 2020 is now complete. Course shells (except 900-level courses) have been created in Canvas. Student rosters will automatically be kept in sync with KSIS, with student drop/adds happening in near real-time. Changes to the course in KSIS will be reflected in the K-State Online course. To have a 900-level course created, contact the IT Help Desk.

Canvas: Viewing Course Analytics and Course Access reports
With our new normal of remote teaching and learning, many instructors have questions about how to track learner participation in their courses. Participation can easily be tracked with the built-in Course Analytics Report and Course Access Report in Canvas.

Canvas: February updates
On Monday, March 16, New Analytics will be activated in Canvas, and the old Analytics feature will no longer be available. New Analytics offers several enhanced features, including:
- Data is refreshed every 24 hours
- Only active student enrollments are included in data
- Filtered by assignments, quizzes, and graded discussions
