Clearance sale on Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 software at computer store

K-Staters can save $20-$70 on Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 software during the clearance sale now going on at the K-State Student Union Computer Store. Lower prices on Adobe CS 5.5 products are being offered through the computer store due to Adobe’s release of CS 6, which is now in stock.

“10 percent off” sale at Union Computer Store through May 12

The Union Computer Store is running a “Customer Appreciation Sale” through Saturday, May 12 (graduation day at K-State). It allows 10 percent off everything in the computer store except for special orders and any Apple products.

K-Staters who are looking for that perfect graduation gift may want to consider popular technology for hard-to-buy-for graduates.  Staff at the Union Computer Store say popular items include:

New Microsoft and Adobe software titles have been added to the K-State Student Select Software program available at the K-State Student Union Computer Store. To see programs included in each title, a printable price list, and FAQs, see the Student Select PDF.

All titles require a current K-State ID for purchasing and are available to faculty/staff, students, and emeriti. Distance students, employees of local agencies (K-State Student Union, Athletics, Foundation, etc.), and satellite campuses and workplaces (i.e. Extension) are included. Alumni and employees of K-State affiliates are not eligible.

All titles are limited to “1 user – 2 computers” and licensing terms state they are for your own personal educational use, and not for resale.  All titles are distributed on a CD/DVD and each package includes its own unique activation key.

The Union Computer Store will be open extended hours for BTS (Back to School) beginning Sunday, Aug. 16:

Thursday Aug. 27 8 a.m.-9 p.m. (open late for Activities Carnival in Union)

Computer Store to be closed, get new floor

The Union Computer Store will be closed from June 28 – July 6 for yearly inventory, installation of a new wood floor, and the July 4th holiday.

After inventory is completed everything in the store will be taken out and the carpet will be replaced with a new wood floor. After the floor is installed, everything will be put back into the store and set back up.

The store will reopen at 8 a.m. on July 6. Stop by then to see the new floor!

Adobe CS4 Student Select software arrives at Union Computer Store

The new Adobe CS4 products, on the Student Select plan, recently arrived at the K-State Student Union Computer Store and are now available for purchase.  Adobe claims a savings of up to 80% off retail prices.

Parallels Student Select now available at the Union Computer Store

Parallels Desktop for Mac, an OS Virtualization software, is now available on the Student Select Program at the K-State Student Union Computer Store for $39.95. Regular retail is $79.95.

This software allows you to run a variety of operating systems on your Mac without rebooting. 

Guest Operating Systems supported – Guest operating systems not included with Parallels Desktop. 

• Microsoft Windows – Vista, XP, 2003, 2000, NT, 98, 95, 3.11 and 3.1
