March 10: Introduction to Qualtrics training

Intro to Qualtrics TrainingQualtrics surveys can be used for event registrations, satisfaction surveys, online forms, academic research, training, and more. Join us for an Introduction to Qualtrics training session from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, via Zoom. All students, faculty, and staff who use this research suite are welcome to attend.

Topics to be covered:

  • Create and manage surveys
  • Customize the look and feel
  • Collaborate with others
  • Use display and skip logic
  • Distribute a survey
  • Run and analyze reports

Graduate and undergraduate students must work with an advisor/supervisor for access to Qualtrics using this request form.

Registration through HRIS is required. See Using HRIS to register for classes.

March 3: Microsoft Word L200 training

Microsoft Word LogoWord L200 training is scheduled from 2-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3 in Microsoft Teams.

This course will teach how to take Word documents to the next level with advanced features. We will be looking at some of the advanced features including comparing and merging documents, creating and formatting a table of contents, document translation, and more.

Objectives:

  • Review where to find relevant features with the Ribbon
  • Learn how Compare and Merge can save time
  • Organize your work by creating a Table of Contents
  • Gather ideas and thoughts with Comments and Suggestions
  • Learn to quickly translate your work in sections or the entire document.
  • Convert documents into emails with Mail Merge, while preserving
    Formatting Options

Registration for the training is required. A confirmation email will be sent with a link to join the session. When you click to join the Microsoft Teams meeting, you will be taken to a page where you can choose to either join on the web or download the desktop app. If you already have the Teams app, the meeting will open there automatically.

Mar. 5: LIWC2015 for Computational Text Analysis

LIWC“Using LIWC2015 for Computational Linguistic Analysis” will be presented from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Friday, Mar. 5, via Zoom. (Link will not be live until the event.)

The Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count (LIWC) tool enables users to conduct computational linguistic analyses on single texts, collections of texts, and text corpora, in order to better understand the latent data.
