Contract Lifecycle Management and risk evaluation training in June

Kansas State University has partnered with Cobblestone Software to transform procurement and contracting activities at the university by implementing a contract lifecycle management system, or CLM. A pilot group is currently testing and using the new solution, and the new CLM will be ready for use throughout campus by the end of June.

Training

Training for the CLM system, contract policy changes, and contract risk evaluation will be offered in two customized sessions. All faculty and staff participating in procurement and/or contracting processes are encouraged to attend one or both sessions on the dates listed. To best meet availability, there are two options for training. A hybrid approach will be used for training; by attending a live training session in the K-State Union Wildcat Chamber or joining via Zoom. In addition, all training sessions will be recorded and a copy made available on the Purchasing and Contract Services website upon conclusion of the training events for anyone not able to attend.

General Overview (Part 1)

The first session briefly overviews the new CLM system, updates existing purchasing and contracting policies, the risk framework operation model, and insurance and IT review processes. All K-State faculty and business staff are encouraged to attend.

In addition, it will cover the role and importance of business liaisons, navigation and reporting in the CLM, the significance of the KSU-146a, and explore common contracting delays and how to avoid them. All K-State business staff and purchasing liaisons are encouraged to attend, but all interested employees are welcome.

With the new CLM, K-State will create standardization of business process and output, effectively manage the renewal and expiration of contracts, and collect valuable contract data. If you have questions about the CLM, contact Memory Buffington, Director of Financial Operations.
