K-State’s new Contract Lifecycle Management solution available June 23

Kansas State University has partnered with Cobblestone Software to transform procurement and contracting activities at the university by implementing a contract lifecycle management system, or CLM.

The new CLM provides streamlined, collaborative contract management and procurement solutions. The CLM electronic workflow is a transparent process that increases purchasing efficiencies. Features include:

  • Workflow to automatically route contracts through appropriate approval processes
  • Transparency for campus users regarding contract workflow and status
  • Enhanced collaboration and approval tracking
  • Elimination of paper requests and forms
  • Securely store contracts within a contract repository
  • Contract expiration notifications to departments’ business liaisons
  • Universitywide contract repository

In-person training sessions were held earlier this month. You can view a recording of those sessions on the Purchasing and Contract Services website and additional training materials.

With the new CLM, K-State will create standardization of business process and output, effectively manage the renewal and expiration of contracts, and collect valuable contract data. If you have questions about the CLM, contact Memory Buffington, Director of Financial Operations.
