Graduate students: Using equations in your ETDR?

If you’re using Word 2007 and plan to add equations to your thesis or dissertation, be sure to save the ETDR template as a Word document (.docx).  Do not check the “Maintain compatibility with Word 97-2003” box.

If you save the template as a Word 97-2003 document (.doc) or with compatibility maintained, you will not be able to use the Word 2007 Equation editor in your document.

If you run into problems with equations in your ETDR, contact the IT Help Desk (helpdesk@k-state.edu, 785-532-7722) and ask to meet with an ETDR consultant.
