Microsoft Training for February

Micros 365 iconsAs part of K-State’s Office 365 subscription, the Microsoft Store provides free training on Office 365 applications. We have scheduled the following sessions with them for February:

See the session descriptions below.

All of the above sessions will be from 2-3:30 p.m. Registration is required. After you register, a confirmation will be sent to you with a link to the session.

The sessions will be held in Microsoft Teams. When you click to join the meeting, you will be taken to a page where you can choose to either join on the web or download the desktop app. If you already have the Teams app, the meeting will open there automatically. KSIS Training sessions for Spring 2022 available

KSIS training dates and times are now available for spring 2022. Instructor-led training is available for faculty, academic advisors, and staff at no charge. Jan. 27: Microsoft Lists training

Microsoft Lists iconMicrosoft Lists training is scheduled 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27. The session will be presented in Microsoft Teams.

Registration is required. A confirmation message with a link to the session will be sent to you after you register. When you click to join the meeting, you will be taken to a page where you can choose to either join on the web or download the desktop app. If you already have the Teams app, the meeting will open there automatically.

Learn to stay on top of it all with Lists, the smart information tracking app in Microsoft 365. Lists help you track information and organize your work.

Objectives:

  • Navigate and understand the core functionality of Microsoft Lists
  • Create, share, and track lists
  • Customize with custom views
  • Build lists from a template
  • Understand SharePoint Online and Teams integrations
  • Understand column types

January 20: Office 365 SharePoint Training

SharePoint L100 training is scheduled for 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20. The session will be presented in Microsoft Teams.

This course focuses on the SharePoint Online experience. Attendees will learn how to share and manage content, find information, and collaborate with others.

Objectives:

  • Successfully navigate SharePoint team and communication sites.
  • Understand Microsoft 365 groups.
  • Work with SharePoint document libraries.
  • Share files and folders with users outside of a group.
  • Utilize shared resources in team sites including lists, plans, and notebooks.

CRM introduction training scheduled for Spring 2022

CRMCRM Introduction Training has been scheduled for the Spring 2022 semester starting on January 5. To participate in the training, you must complete and submit the CRM Access Form. The form must be completed and submitted before your training date.

  • Home screen, personal settings, navigation, and tabs
  • List views
  • Questions

Deadline for completion of Cybersecurity Awareness training extended to Jan. 31

The Division of Information Technology is extending the deadline for Cybersecurity Awareness training until Jan. 31.

All faculty, staff, and student employees are still required to complete the training or lose eID access. If your eID is suspended, you will lose access to all University systems until training is completed.

This training is required to comply with State Policy 7230 – Information Technology Enterprise Security Policy, section 8.0 Awareness, and Training Standard.

Grading in KSIS training for Fall 2021 now available

Grading in KSIS training is available for faculty and staff who are involved in submitting grades at the end of the fall 2021 term. Training topics include:

  • Transferring grades from Canvas to KSIS
  • Manually entering grades in KSIS
  • Updating grades in KSIS
  • Submitting a Grade Change Request form in KSIS
  • Q&A for grade submission at K-State

All sessions take place Zoom.

  • Monday, Nov. 29, 9-10 a.m.
  • Monday, Dec. 7, 1-2 p.m.
