Reminder to instructors: Important grade-submission dates

Finals and final grade submission time is here again, and instructors may want to note the following important dates:

  • May 12: Incompletes assigned in Fall 2008 or previous semesters must be removed and replaced with a letter grade and are due in the Registrar’s Office by Tuesday, May 12. NOTE: This does not include incompletes assigned for thesis, dissertation, or report hours.
  • May 15: Incompletes not removed and without letter grades assigned will be changed to an “F” on Friday, May 15.
  • May 18: Grades are due at 5 p.m. Monday, May 18, for final examinations on May 11-13.

Q/A: Is your grade roster missing in iSIS?

When I sign in to iSIS to enter final grades, the Grade Roster for my class is missing. Why? How do I get access to it?

If you cannot see the Grade Roster or the Class Roster for a class you are teaching, you should contact the Class Scheduler in your college, department, or dean’s office to be added to the class section as a grader or a grade approver. New electronic grade submission process this semester; no more paper forms

Beginning this Fall 2008 term, final grade submission will be electronic-only in iSIS. No paper grade sheets will be provided. Key criteria for electronic grade submission include:

  • For Dec. 15-17 final exams, grades are due 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22.
  • For Dec. 18-19 final exams, grades are due 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23.
  • Grades for all non-standard courses are due five calendar days after the completion of the course.
  • Grades must be assigned for all students on the grade roster before the faculty member can approve the grades.
  • K-State Online users must submit grades to iSIS and approve in iSIS in order to be posted.

This electronic grade submission process is totally new for this semester and differs from the “Electronic Grade Submission” process used over the last several semesters.  Instructor-led and online sessions are

Faculty: Enter midterm grades in iSIS starting Sept. 29

Faculty can enter midterm grades for new freshmen into iSIS, the new student information system, beginning Monday, Sept. 29, with a due date of Friday, Oct. 3.  Instructions for submitting midterm grades are available on the iSIS Help website.  Training sessions on grading are open and available for enrollment in HRIS (see class WS0029 – iSIS: Grading in iSIS).  For enrollment instructions, see the iSIS training page.
