Wacom interactive pen media now available in Media Development Center
Two Wacom Interactive Pen Display units have been added to the Media Development Center, 213 Hale Library. Artists will love the pressure sensitivity and ability to vary the width and opacity of the line. Faculty will value using the Cintiq like a whiteboard — drawing equations, erasing, etc. — and recording the session with a screen-capturing program. Media Development Center closed May 18-27
The Media Development Center (MDC) in 213 Hale Library will be closed Saturday, May 18, through Monday, May 27, for equipment and software upgrades. It will re-open Tuesday, May 28. The website at k-state.edu/its/mdc shows the regular schedule.

IT equipment checkout closed; reopens Jan. 4, 2010
Checkout of IT equipment via the IT Help Desk closed Monday, Dec. 21, and will remain closed during the holiday break. The service will resume its 8 a.m.-5 p.m. schedule starting Monday, Jan. 4, 2010.
Relatedly, the Media Development Center (213 Hale Library) has an altered schedule during the December-January winter break. The center is closed Dec. 19-Jan. 10, 2010, and will re-open Monday, Jan. 11, on its regular schedule. See the Dec. 1 article for details.
CD/DVD duplication services in the Media Development Center
The Media Development Center in 213 Hale Library can help K-Staters duplicate and print CDs and DVDs. There are two stand-alone, tower disc duplicators — one with a 9-disc capacity, and a smaller one with a 7-disc capacity. These duplicators can mass-produce copies of CDs in a fraction of the time.
The MDC also has a dedicated disc printer that can print quality photos right on the disc. Finally, an all-in-one production station allows you to duplicate and print discs from one station.
