Two training sessions are available for “Grading in KSIS”

“Grading in KSIS” training is available for faculty and staff who are involved in submitting grades at the end of the spring 2016 term. Training topics include:Grading in KSIS, April 19, 10:30-noon; April 22, 1:30-2:30 pm

  • Manually entering grades in KSIS
  • Updating grades in KSIS
  • Submitting a Grade Change Request form in KSIS
  • Q&A for grade submission at K-State

All sessions take place in 9 Fairchild Hall.

  • Tue, April 19, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Fri, April 22, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

To attend, sign up in HRIS (see the sign-up instructions). Walk-in attendees are welcome.

KSIS Class Scheduler training rescheduled for April 14

KSIS Class Scheduler training, 10:30, April 12, 9 FairchildKSIS Class Scheduler training that was cancelled in March is rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. – noon, April 14 in 9 Fairchild.  This session is designed for employees new to the Class Scheduler process.

Topics include:

  • Printing the Class Schedule report
  • Updating room locations
  • Updating instructors
  • Updating the section status
  • Other course related details

KSIS: Processing Minors session offered April 12

A “Processing Minors” training session is now available for K-State employees who Processing minors training in KSIS, 10:30-11:30 a.m., April 12, 9 Fairchild Hallapprove minors for students who are graduating. The training session is 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, in 9 Fairchild Hall.

KSIS Class Scheduler training available for spring 2016

KSIS Class Scheduler training is now available. Sessions are designed for employees new to the Class Scheduler process as well as refreshers for employees who have previously updated class schedules.

Topics include:

  • Printing the Class Schedule report
  • Updating room locations
  • Updating instructors
  • Updating the section status
  • Other course related details

All sessions are held in Fairchild 9.  The dates and times for the Class Scheduler sessions are:

New Class Scheduler

  • Tuesday, March 1, 10:30 a.m.-noon
  • Friday, March 4, 1:30-3 p.m.

Class Scheduler Refresher

  • Monday, March 7, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 10, 10:30 a.m.-noon

Master Extract Reporting in KSIS offered monthly in spring 2016

Training sessions for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS for Spring 2016 are now available. The monthly sessions are for staff who have been granted the Master Extract Reporting permission. Previous sessions were limited to one month of a term. To make the training more available for staff members, the schedule is now set for one session each month. Training dates now available for “Advising in KSIS”

Training dates for “Advising in KSIS” are available for sign-up in HRIS. Sessions focus on the KSU Advisor Center functions.  Full-time advisors and faculty advisors are encouraged to attend. Registration through HRIS is required. See Using HRIS to register for classes.

KSIS training dates and times are now available for spring 2016.  Instructor-led training is ksis training for spring 2016available for faculty, academic advisors, and staff at no charge. However, registration through HRIS is required. See Using HRIS to register for classes.

Grading in KSIS training is now available for faculty and staff who are involved in submitting grades at the end of the fall 2015 term.

All sessions take place in 9 Fairchild Hall.  Sessions are:Grading in KSIS training Dec. 1-2, 9 Fairchild Hall

  • Tue, Dec. 1, 10:30-11:30 a.m. 
  • Wed, Dec. 2, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Need to learn about Master Extract Reporting in KSIS?

Training sessions are now available for the fall for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS. You must have permissions set up for Master Extract Reporting in KSIS before you can take this class.

All sessions are scheduled in 9 Fairchild Hall:

  • 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18
  • 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6
  • 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3
  • 1:30-2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24

Registration through HRIS is required. See Using HRIS to register for classes.

If the offered sessions do not fit your schedule, please contact the KSIS training coordinator, Fred Darkow, at fdarkow@k-state.edu to request additional classes. Attendees will be notified if a session is canceled and will be asked to register for an alternative training session.
