HRIS, KSIS, and DARS maintenance scheduled for March 14

HRIS, KSIS, and DARS will be unavailable from midnight – 4 a.m. March 14. Maintenance will be performed on the Oracle PeopleSoft systems. This maintenance will keep the system secure and up to date. Once applied, the systems will be brought back up for your use. Thank you for your patience as we work to maintain our IT systems.

Financial Information System unavailable March 12-14

The Financial Information System (FIS) will be unavailable from 7 p.m. Friday, March 12, through Sunday afternoon, March 14. This is a required upgrade to Oracle 19c and will prepare the system for a major upgrade that will occur later this fall.

FIS is the central accounting system utilized by KSU colleges, departments, and administrative units to process payment transactions, reporting, and manage grant post-awards.

KSIS Class Scheduler training available for Spring 2021

KSIS Class Scheduler training is now available for sign-up in HRIS. Sessions are designed for employees new to the Class Scheduler process as well as refreshers for employees who have previously updated class schedules.

Topics include:

  • Printing the Class Schedule report
  • Updating room locations
  • Updating instructors
  • Updating the section status
  • Other course-related details

All sessions are held on Zoom. The dates and times for the Class Scheduler sessions are:

New Class Scheduler

  • Tuesday, March 2, 1-2:30 p.m.
  • Friday, March 5, 9:30-11 a.m.

Class Scheduler Tools (NEW)

  • Tuesday, March 9, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 12, 1-2 p.m.

Advising in KSIS training dates now available for Spring 2022

Training dates for Advising in KSIS are now available for the spring 2022 semester. Sessions focus on the KSU Advisor Center functions. Full-time advisors and faculty advisors are encouraged to attend. Registration through HRIS is required. Oracle database upgrade scheduled for Dec. 19

K-State’s Oracle database will be upgraded from 6 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, December 19. During the upgrade, K-Staters can not change or reset passwords, search the people directory, or create an eID.

The upgrade will allow K-State to stay current and ensure that security patches continue to get applied to our databases running in Amazon Web Services.

Impacted systems include eProfile, identity management services and support, the People Directory, Grouper, and more. Backend support tools will be unavailable. The status of the upgrade will be shared on the IT Status page.

Grading in KSIS training for Fall 2020 now available

Grading in KSIS training is available for faculty and staff who are involved in submitting grades at the end of the fall 2020 term. Training topics include:

  • Transferring grades from Canvas to KSIS
  • Manually entering grades in KSIS
  • Updating grades in KSIS
  • Submitting a Grade Change Request form in KSIS
  • Q&A for grade submission at K-State

All sessions take place Zoom.

  • Thursday, Dec. 3, 1-2 p.m.
  • Monday, Dec. 7, 9-10 a.m.
