Grade-submission deadlines May 20 for Spring 2014

Canvas instructor training sessions available in June

Faculty have been pilot-testing Canvas, a state-of-the-art learning management system, during fall 2013 and spring 2014 semesters. The results of the pilot have been positive, and faculty have appreciated the easy-to-use, intuitive features of Canvas.

To learn more about the rich features of Canvas, Information Technology Services is offering Introduction to Canvas and Introduction to Canvas II during the month of June. Introduction to Canvas is a prerequisite and must be taken prior to Introduction to Canvas II.  Continue reading “Canvas instructor training sessions available in June”

Avoid Internet Explorer until vulnerability fixed

On April 26, Microsoft notified customers of a vulnerability in Internet Explorer that affects browser versions 6 through 11. This vulnerability has the potential to allow attackers to run malicious code on vulnerable machines when users visit compromised or malicious websites. K-State Salina lecture-capture demonstration today, May 6

Mediasite is a lecture capture-and-distribution software currently being used at Kansas State University that allows instructors to make live and on-demand digital recordings of their lectures and presentations.
