Fall 2010 grade submission deadlines in December

Grade  rosters for regular courses will be available in iSIS after 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10.

All grades are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21. The deadline to copy grades from K-State Online to iSIS is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, which allows sufficient time for back-end processes to complete.

Students will be able to view grades for regular courses in iSIS on Wednesday, Dec. 22.

Axio usage thus far for 2010:

  • 38,708 different users have been logged
  • 2,882 new courses were created
  • 13,671 new online assignments created
  • 229,678 message board posts
  • 71,099 calendar events created

Since the system’s inception in 1999:

  • 8 terabytes of course content
  • 169,381 attendance records created
  • 84,729 online assignments created
  • 109,204,357 questions answers (student answers to instructor questions; includes Scantron)
  • 1,372,847 message board posts
  • 678,877 calendar events created

Registration open for K-State Online conference Sept. 29-30

Registration for the fifth annual Axio Learning/K-State Online Conference is now open. Come join us Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 29-30 at the K-State Alumni Center in Manhattan, Kan. The conference will focus on:

  • The future of online education
  • Innovative distance learning methods
  • K-State Online/Axio Learning

The conference is free to attend, but pre-registration is encouraged. Register and view the full conference schedule at axioconference.org.

K-State Libraries have the tech you need to succeed

K-State Libraries logoThe librarians and staff of K-State Libraries welcome you back for another great year at K-State, and want to make sure you’re aware of all the amazing technology we have ready for you.

You may see some large, fancy-looking screens in Hale and wonder what they were, and who forgot to put them away. These, my friends, are collaboration stations. And they’re out on purpose, just for you. Plug in your laptop and park yourself in one of the comfy new booths or near our mobile whiteboards with your classmates while you tweak your presentation to perfection, show off the work you’ve done on your group paper, or have everyone plug in headphones to watch a video.

K-State Online 9.2 now available; training opportunities in August

K-State Online was successfully upgraded to version 9.2 Monday, July 19. Course owners and instructors will not need to complete any additional steps following the upgrade. Courses will appear as before, but will include the version 9.2 improvements.

K-State Online upgrades scheduled July 19

K-State Online will be unavailable 7-9 a.m. Monday, July 19, during a planned upgrade to version 9.2. Service will be restored as soon as possible. For the complete list of new features and resolved issues, see the K-State Online 9.2 Release Notes.

Course owners and instructors will not need to complete any additional steps following the upgrade. Courses will appear as before, but will include the version 9.2 improvements.

Grades due in iSIS 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 19

Wednesday, May 19, at 5 p.m. is the deadline to submit grades in iSIS. The deadline to copy grades from K-State Online to iSIS is 4 p.m. that day. Students will be able to view grades in iSIS on Thursday, May 20.

How to copy grades to iSIS from K-State Online

With the spring semester coming to a close, instructors may be scrambling to submit grades. To copy grades from K-State Online to iSIS, follow these steps:

  1. Go to online.k-state.edu, sign in, and then click the desired course’s name link.
  2. On the Course Tools page, click the Gradebook link under the Assessment section.
  3. On the menu, click the Adjusted Scores link.
  4. Review and adjust scores and click the Copy Grades to iSIS link.
  5. Click the section number of the course whose grades you want to copy to iSIS.
  6. Follow the rest of the step-by-step help guide at www.k-state.edu/isishelp/faculty/isisKSOLS10.pdf.

Reminder: The deadline to copy grades from K-State Online to iSIS is 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 19.
