Zoom minimum version requirement Feb. 3

On Feb. 3, Zoom will require version 5.14.5 for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows. Users can check their Zoom version directly in the desktop client and mobile app. If the version is below 5.14.5, please upgrade to the latest version of the Zoom client as soon as possible.

Zoom has implemented a Software Quarterly Lifecycle Policy requiring a new minimum version every three months. This policy ensures all users have the required privacy and security updates and the latest features. Continue reading “Zoom minimum version requirement Feb. 3”

IT Service Desk closed Jan. 15

The IT Service Desk will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, during the Martin Luther King holiday. For those who need assistance, you can access the IT Knowledge Base. The IT Knowledge Base is a collection of all IT information in a single, easily accessible knowledge base that provides a one-stop-shop for customer self-service. The IT Service Desk will resume its regular operating hours on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab winter break schedule

The Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab will have reduced hours during K-State’s winter break.

The Lab will begin the winter break schedule on Dec. 16, and will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on Saturdays through Jan. 19, 2024. Download your assignment submissions from Canvas

Students, you can download all your assignment submissions in Canvas. Submissions are for current and concluded courses and only include files submitted to fulfill an assignment; they do not include any submissions modified by instructors, such as annotated submissions.

The download also includes submissions for group assignments, even if another student in your group made the submission. Submissions are downloaded as a ZIP file when the export has finished generating.

Copy final grades from Canvas to KSIS

Instructors can copy their final grades from Canvas to KSIS with the Copy Grades to KSIS tool located in the left-hand navigation of each course in Canvas.

Grades for the fall 2023 term are due by 5 p.m., Tue. Dec. 19 or 4 p.m. (CDT) if grading in Canvas.

Mediasite unavailable during Dec. 21 maintenance

Mediasite, the university’s centrally supported video management solution, will undergo maintenance from 12 a.m. – 5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21. Publishing, playback, and management functions will be largely unavailable throughout the day as the maintenance proceeds. The Division of Information Technology thanks you for your patience and understanding while this important work is performed.

Darci Pottroff retirement reception on Dec. 15

A retirement celebration will honor Darci Pottroff, Director of Application Services for the Division of Information Technology, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, in the Cottonwood Room of the K-State Student Union.
