Information Technology Services reorganization

About a year ago, Information Technology began a strategic planning effort to rethink information technology services at K-State. Working in partnership with the Plante Moran consulting firm, we engaged hundreds of K-Staters to evaluate current and future information technology services. See the IT Strategic Plan.

In conjunction with the IT Strategic Planning process, to address the challenges within the plan and to better align information technology with future needs of the university and the changing IT environment, we are announcing a restructuring of staff within Information Technology Services (ITS).

ITS will take four existing positions and create an IT chief operating officer/deputy CIO for enterprise technology, a deputy CIO for strategy, planning & enterprise architecture, a deputy CIO for emerging technology & innovation, and a deputy CIO for business intelligence & analytics. The Chief Information Officer, the Chief Information Security Officer and these four positions will comprise the leadership team for Information Technology Services.
