Dell warranty options when buying a new computer

When purchasing a new Dell computer for your department, you may wonder “Which is the best warranty to get to ensure that iTAC can service it under the provisions of the warranty?”

Dell offers an array of warranty options that may or may not meet your needs. For the service that iTAC offers, it is recommended to purchase the less expensive “Basic Hardware Service”. This provides a decent savings over purchasing the “ProSupport” service.

Office and home computer repair for K-Staters

K-Staters who need their personal or departmental computers repaired can bring them to the IT Help Desk, 214 Hale Library. Services include:

  1. IT Help Desk

    The first point of contact when K-Staters need help on computer and IT issues. 785-532-7722, walk-in 214 Hale Library, e-mail helpdesk@k-state.edu.

  2. Free printing

    Limited, free laser printing is available (in the InfoCommons and university computing labs) to all students and faculty/staff using their K-State eID and password. $10 is allocated per person each fall and spring semester, and $5 each summer.
