Summer 2013 grade-submission deadlines on Aug. 23

Summer grade rosters are available in iSIS for grade entry the day after the last day of class. Grades are due five business days after a class ends, except when the last day of a non-standard time class coincides with the last day of the regular session classes for a term. Last chance to sign up for Grading in iSIS

The final Grading in iSIS sessions will be presented Wednesday, May 8, and Thursday, May 9.  The training is for any faculty or staff member who needs to enter grades in iSIS for the Spring 2013 semester. From CIO Ken Stafford: Microsoft 365 to replace current university email system

Dear Colleagues and Students,

In July the university’s email system will switch over to Microsoft 365, a full-featured email client used by professionals around the world. Top 3 password tips before the Feb. 13 password deadline

The eID password-change deadline is Feb. 13, only two weeks away. Here are the top three password tips that K-Staters should know.

1. K-State will never ask for your eID password via email. But email phishing scams abound, and hackers use many ways to trick people into disclosing their  eID password.  Any email that asks for a password — or points to a webpage that asks for a password — is a phishing scam and should be deleted immediately.  Continue reading “Top 3 password tips before the Feb. 13 password deadline”

Grade-submission deadlines are Tuesday, Dec. 18

Faculty, note these impending deadlines for submitting semester grades:

  • 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 — Deadline to copy grades from K-State Online into iSIS (to allow sufficient time for back-end processes to complete)
  • 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 — Deadline for submitting grades for fall 2012

Students will be able to view grades for regular courses in iSIS starting at 8 a.m.  Wednesday, Dec 19.

All employees: July 31 deadline looming for IT security training

The July 31 deadline is looming for all employees, including current student employees, to complete K-State’s 2012 security training. On average, it takes 20-30 minutes to complete.

State policy requires that all state employees receive annual training in IT security, said Harvard Townsend, K-State’s former IT security officer.

Grades for the Spring 2012 term are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 15. The deadline to copy grades from K-State Online into iSIS is 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, which allows sufficient time for back-end processes to complete. Grade rosters will be available in iSIS for grade entry after 5 p.m. Friday, May 4.

Students will be able to view grades for regular courses in iSIS starting at 8 a.m.  Wednesday, May 16.

Grades for the Fall 2011 Term are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20. The deadline to copy grades from K-State Online into iSIS is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, which allows sufficient time for back-end processes to complete. Grade rosters will be available in iSIS for grade entry after 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9.

Students will be able to view grades for regular courses in iSIS starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21.
