In a traditional survey of western art music you’d get in an “Intro to Music” class, the composers would all be “DWEM’s”– dead white European males. In Women in Music, we focus on the women composers and performers of those periods, and then go on to look at women in world music, jazz, blues, country, rock and roll and popular music today.
