Would you like to contact someone at K-State but don’t have their contact information? Use the K-State People Search Directory to find contact information for students, faculty, and staff.

To access the directory, visit the K-State People Search Directory or type in your search at the top of any K-State web page and select the people tab.

Student information

Student personal information will not be shown unless you are signed in with your K-State credentials. If you are signed in, the following information will be displayed:

    • Name (preferred name)
    • Student Classification (e.g., Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior)
    • Major
    • Email

Faculty/staff information

The following information is displayed in faculty and staff search results:

  • Name
  • Title – Department
  • Office address and phone number

Email addresses aren’t displayed unless you are signed in with your email credentials. However, you can still send a message to the desired person using the Message button.

IT Service Desk fall schedule

Do you have questions? The IT Service Desk has the answers you need. Located on the second floor of Hale Library, the IT Service Desk can help with email, eIDs, passwords, Canvas, internet access, KSIS and software issues. They can also help solve computer problems or order an IT service.

IT Service Desk Hours

All Services — Phone, Live Chat and Walk-in
  • Monday – Thursday — 7:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Friday — 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Saturday —  1 – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday — 1 – 8 p.m.

  • Monday – Thursday — 8 – 10 p.m.

Zoom minimum version requirement August 3

On August 3, Zoom will require version 5.16.6 for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS and Windows. Users can check their Zoom version directly in the desktop client and mobile app. If the version is below 5.16.6, please upgrade to the latest version of the Zoom client as soon as possible.

Zoom has implemented a Software Quarterly Lifecycle Policy requiring a new minimum version every three months. This policy ensures all users have the required privacy and security updates and the latest features. Continue reading “Zoom minimum version requirement August 3”

Update to the latest version of Mediasite Mosaic for Windows

As of April 2024, Mediasite Mosaic for Windows version 2.10 and earlier is no longer automatically updated through the Microsoft Store. To continue receiving updates, remove the old version of Mediasite Mosaic and install the latest version following the instructions in the Upgrade Mediasite Mosaic version 2.10 and earlier for Windows knowledge base article.

Mediasite Mosaic allows you to record your computer’s display, camera and microphone and create a multi-track video presentation to upload to My Mediasite. It is free to the K-State community and available for both Mac and PC.

PaperCut maintenance scheduled for May 23

PaperCut maintenance is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, May 23. During this time, papercut-supported printing will be unavailable on all campuses. Thank you for your patience as we work to maintain our IT systems.

PaperCut is a cross-platform print monitoring application that runs on all major operating systems and is used to print wirelessly here at K-State.

  • Sunday, 1-6 p.m. (All Services or Phone and Chat only when the library is closed)
