Faculty, don’t let a few snow days keep you from holding class. K-State has tools to connect in spite of 11+ inches of snow. Here are some options to consider.
Use K-State Online to post an outline or summary of what you would have covered, in a Word, PDF or other document. Post Q&A sessions on the message board. Provide an audio recording on the Announcement page for students to prepare for the next class meeting.
K-State’s iPad user group has a new web presence at coe.k-state.edu/ipadusergroup. For now, we have an archive of meetings and apps that were covered; some suggestions for securing your iPad; and a list of built-in apps.

Join us as we take a look at three PDF annotation apps on the iPad, noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, in 16A Bluemont Hall. The meeting is open to all K-Staters.

Zoom training session and demo, 10-11 a.m. in Justin 163. This is an opportunity to see how easy it is to use the university’s new videoconferencing and audioconferencing tool, which allows up to 25 users per conference.
iPad user meeting, noon- 1 p.m. in Bluemont 16A. The topic will be announced soon. This meeting is open to everyone who wants to use or learn more about iPads, good apps, and questions/answers on iPad issues.

Zoom, for HD video and audio conferencing and screen sharing, is now available to all K-State students, faculty and staff. Zoom can be used from any PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android device, or phone line and will soon include H.323 and SIP participants to leverage existing legacy devices including Polycom, Tandberg, LifeSize, and others.
