Spring training for using K-State’s technology classrooms

K-State faculty/staff who will be using the university technology classrooms for the first time this spring must attend a short training session before they can request keys for those classrooms.

Instructional technology staff will be available to provide training through the next few weeks and after the semester has begun. Office 365 Update

After seven months of planning and testing, we have the entire campus of 57,000 accounts moved to Office 365 for email and calendaring service. Over the weekend Information Technology Services, migrated the final 17,000 student accounts and more than 6,100 faculty and staff email and calendar accounts.

The majority of questions to the IT Help Desk and our Client Services teams have been about configuring mobile devices, downloading the Outlook Client, and assisting users with sharing calendars and folders. iPad warranty and repair services now available to K-Staters and campus units

Apple iPad devices can now be checked in for warranty replacement as well as out-of-warranty replacement services at the IT Help Desk in 214 Hale Library. Dec. 31 is last day to export data before Axio Survey is discontinued

On Jan. 1, 2014, Axio Survey will be discontinued and survey data will no longer be available. Tuesday, Dec. 31, is the last day to:

  • View surveys in Axio
  • Download reports
  • Export data from Axio Survey

Dec. 23 is last day for grade submissions for fall 2013

Learn Office 365: Top resources to browse over winter break

Over the holiday break, K-Staters who want a jumpstart on learning Office 365 email and calendaring should check out these top resources created by Information Technology Services.

  1. Explore more than 100 K-State articles on how to use  Office 365: 
  2. Prior to the migration Jan. 6, 2014, do the steps in the Office 365 pre-migration checklist.
  3. Discuss Office 365 socially with other K-Staters. Join K-State’s Office 365 Migration group on Yammer. It’s a social venue (similar to Facebook) specifically for those with  @ksu.edu addresses.  Create an @ksu.edu account first. See K-State’s Getting Started with Yammer resource.
  4. Bookmark and visit K-State’s Office 365 website at k-state.edu/its/office365.
