K-State Research and Extension information technology reorganization nearly complete

The integration of K-State Research and Extension technology staff within information technology services is almost complete.

The last step is the integration of help desk and tech support functions with the IT Help Desk and client services of the Information Technology Assistance Center. This move will begin during the week of Aug. 18. Zoom conferencing: 3.0 update available

The Zoom videoconferencing service for all K-Staters now has a 3.0 update that can be downloaded to Windows and Mac computers and mobile devices. How to download: Use the drop-down menu on your desktop app to check for updates.

Two Microsoft Excel training sessions Aug. 12

iTAC is offering two Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2010 classes to all faculty/staff. Both classes are in Fairchild 9 and require advance registration through the HRIS system.

  • 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12
  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12

This one-hour introduction to Excel will cover the basics of Excel spreadsheets: Create and save a workbook; enter data; format a spreadsheet; copy, move, or delete data; change the order of a spreadsheet; filter out extra information; calculate data with formulas; chart your data; and print​​​.
